Police arrest man on charge of murdering ex-wife

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel on Saturday arrested a man for the suspected murder of his ex-wife who was shot dead.
A spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that the man on Friday called the police to report that his ex-wife had committed suicide at her house in Amman's Fifth Circle, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
However, during the course of the investigation, the man had confessed to shooting his ex-wife to death, the police said. The suspect was ordered detained for 15 days pending further investigation, the spokesperson added.
