Police chief, Australia ambassador talk security cooperation

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and the Australian Ambassador to Jordan Bernard Lynch on Wednesday discussed means to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ public security agencies.

Hawatmeh stressed the "deep-rooted" relations between the two countries' public security apparatuses, which was reflected in a number of cooperation frameworks in the police, security and training fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

Lynch, for his part, praised the "advanced" position achieved by the PSD at the regional and international levels.
