AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Gen. Tawfiq Tawalbeh on Sunday honoured Ahmad Ramadan, a police officer from the West Amman Traffic Department, for his “dedication and courage in performing his duty”.
The PSD said Ramadan contributed to extinguishing a fire in a 15-storey building near the 6th Circle in Amman on Saturday.
Ramadan cut off the electricity to the building when he saw the fire, which prevented the occurrence of an electrical short circuit that could have spread the fire to other floors.
Ramadan then called the Civil Defence Department to extinguish the fire.
