Prince Hassan underscores digital archiving of heritage

AMMAN — HRH Prince Hassan, chairman of the Higher Council for Science and Technology, on Thursday stressed the need for utilising digital archive technologies to preserve the historical and cultural heritage to be available for researchers and next generation rather than stacking it at conventional libraries and research centres.
During a visit to the National Information Technology Centre, Prince Hassan underscored the need to “humanise” information by focusing on the humanitarian, population and economic sectors.
