AMMAN — The Airport International Group confirmed that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) was not shut down on Wednesday morning, according to a statement from the group.
Only two flights were diverted to King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba due to foggy weather conditions in the area surrounding QAIA. However, air traffic “returned to normal” later in the day, the statement said.
Information and Communication Director for Airport International Group Zahia Nasan said that aircraft traffic is back to operating as usual, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
