Ramadan Football Championship concludes, winners honoured

AMMAN — Deputising for the Regent, HRH Crown Prince Hussein, Minister of Youth Mohammad Al Nabulsi on Friday attended the final match of the governorates champions in the Ramadan Football Championship at Al Hussein Youth City. Nabulsi honoured the winning teams, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Held during the period between April 7 and 29, the tournament featured 921 teams, including some 11,000 players from different governorates, who participated in 944 matches.
The winner of the Governorate Championship title shall receive JD2,000, while the final winner shall receive an amount of JD5,000, according to the instructions of the championship.
The event aimed to revive sports and physical activity during Ramadan and resume youth activities after being paused for more than two years due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.
