Razzaz pledges to address school infrastructure problem in Ramtha

AMMAN — Education Minister Omar Razzaz on Wednesday pledged to address the issues of overcrowded classrooms and fractured buildings during a visit to a number of schools in Ramtha, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Razzaz said that the ministry will build new schools to absorb the large number of students, which has increased due to hosting Syrian refugees.
He noted that the ministry has already acquired lands and will allocate the needed funds to build schools. During the tour, the minister opened a new school in Ramtha’s Shajarah region, 75km north of Amman.
The school, estimated at a cost of JD1.7 million, consists of 22 classrooms, laboratories, and other facilities.
