Real estate market hits JD1.082 billion trading volume in first two months of 2024

AMMAN — The trading volume in the real estate market in the Kingdom during the first two months of 2024 reached approximately JD1.082 billion.
In February alone, the trading volume increased to about JD582 million, marking an increase of 17 per cent compared with the same month in the previous year, as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
According to a report from the Department of Lands and Survey, the revenue value during the initial two months of 2024 saw an increase of 1 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2023, amounting to around JD43.6 million.
The report also highlighted a 4 per cent decrease in real estate sales activity in the Kingdom in February. This decline was reflected in a 1 per cent decrease in apartment sales and a 4 per cent decrease in land sales compared with 2023.
Despite the decline in sales activity, the value of revenues during February witnessed a growth of 18 per cent compared with the same month in 2023, reaching approximately JD22 million.
