Road closures, detours for Dead Sea Marathon announced

AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) on Thursday announced road closures and detours due to the Dead Sea Marathon, which starts at 6am on Friday.
Vehicles coming from the traffic light near Al Ahli Club will be diverted to the airport road, which will be divided into two lanes, one for runners and the other for traffic, the PSD media centre said.
The same measure will be applied on the road from Marj Al Hamam to the Dead Sea.
Traffic from the south heading towards the Dead Sea will be diverted to Madaba road.
Moreover, traffic from the Baptism Site will be diverted to a nearby army checkpoint.
