Royal Decree approves reshuffle of Khasawneh’s Cabinet

AMMAN — A Royal Decree was issued on Thursday, approving a reshuffle of Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh’s Cabinet.
 The Royal Decree approved the appointment of the following:
1.    Nasser Shraideh as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Public Sector Modernisation
2.    Wajih Azaizeh as Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs
3.    Ahmad Maher Abul Samen as Minister of Public Works and Housing and Minister of Transport
4.    Azmi Mahafzah as Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
5.    Yousef Shamali as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply and Minister of Labour
6.    Faisal Shboul as Minister of Government Communications
7.    Wafaa Bani Mustafa as Minister of Social Development
8.    Kholoud Saqqaf as Minister of Investment
9.    Nancy Namrouqa as Minister of State for Legal Affairs
10. Zeina Toukan as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation
 
The ministers were sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah at Al Husseiniya Palace.
 
Prime Minister Khasawneh attended the swearing-in.
 
Another Royal Decree had been issued, approving the resignation of the following, as of 27 October 2022:
 
1.    Nasser Shraideh as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation
2.    Wajih Owais as Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
3.    Yahya Kisbi as Minister of Public Works and Housing
4.    Wajih Azaizah as Minister of Transport
5.    Ayman Mufleh as Minister of Social Development
6.    Nawaf Wasfi Tell as Minister of State for Follow-up and Government Coordination
7.    Yousef Shamali as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply
8.    Faisal Shboul as Minister of State for Media Affairs
9.    Wafaa Bani Mustafa as Minister of State for Legal Affairs
10. Khairy Amr as Minister of Investment
11. Nayef Steitieh as Minister of Labour
 
King Abdullah received the resigning ministers at Al Husseiniya Palace and thanked them for their efforts while in office, according to a Royal Court statement.
