AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Friday congratulated Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar on assuming his duties as Tunisia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad.
In their phone call, the two ministers discussed the historical and fraternal relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to enhancing cooperation in various fields, the Jordan news Agency, Petra, reported.
They also addressed regional and international issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause and efforts to resolve regional crises.
Safadi and Ammar expressed their aspirations to work together to strengthen bilateral relations, and discussed the third session of the Political Thinking and Consultation Committee in Amman, to be held ahead of the 10th session of the Jordanian-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee, which will take place by the end of the year.
During the call, the ministers also condemned the recent statements of the Israeli finance minister, who denied the existence of the Palestinian people and their historical rights, and called on the international community to confront such extremist and racist ideologies.
