Safadi, Estonian counterpart discuss COVID-19 cooperation over phone

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu on Monday voiced solidarity and discussed means to enhance cooperation in facing the coronavirus pandemic, according to a ministry statement.
Talks over the phone also touched on coordinating efforts to overcome regional challenges, especially given that Estonia holds the current presidency of the UN Security Council.
The two ministers reiterated the continued bilateral coordination and exchange of views on international efforts towards developing a strategy to deal with the pandemic and its repercussions. Talks also covered regional issues, notably those related to the Palestinian cause, peace efforts and the refugee crisis
Safadi and Reinsalu reiterated the deep-rooted Jordanian-Estonian ties, expressing keenness to further develop bilateral relations.
