Safadi meets global figures

AMMAN — On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Saturday met with senior global figures, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Safadi met with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, and his counterparts of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák, Norway Børge Brende and Costa Rica Manuel González Sanz.

During the meetings, Safadi discussed ways to enhance bilateral ties and the latest regional developments. Safadi and the officials also reviewed efforts to resume peace negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis on the basis of the two-state solution. The talks also covered the impact of the Syrian crisis, and the fight against terrorism.
