Security forces arrest rioters in Baqaa, vows firm action

AMMAN — A security force has arrested several individuals involved in riotous activities in the Baqaa region, including vandalism, arson and hurling stones at vehicles on public roads, according to a Public Security Directorate's (PSD) statement released on Sunday.
The PSD spokesperson confirmed that the detainees are currently under interrogation and will be subjected to legal proceedings.
The spokesperson reiterated the directorate’s unwavering commitment to maintaining societal security, assuring that firm action will be taken against any individuals found to be engaging in destructive activities, causing property damage, disrupting citizens’ lives, or infringing upon their rights by attempting to obstruct roads.
He also underscored the PSD’s ongoing efforts to identify and prosecute those involved in inciting or participating in riots and acts of vandalism, vowing to continue these efforts until all such individuals are brought to justice.
