Senate approves draft GAM professional licensing law

AMMAN — A joint committee in the Senate on Sunday approved a draft law on licensing professions within the borders of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) for the year 2022. It was received by the Lower House with some necessary amendments to protect investment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The draft law aims to organise professions by defining the necessary tasks, duties, responsibilities, powers and requirements within GAM. The law also aims to achieve integration, harmony and consultation between GAM and competent authorities, create the appropriate environment to attract investments and investors through modern and advanced legislation alongside facilitating the use of electronic services between GAM, competent authorities and recipients of services.
