Senate cancels Privatisation Law

AMMAN — The Upper House’s Financial and Economic Committee, headed by Senator Mohammad Halaiqa, on Tuesday endorsed cancelling the 2014 Privatisation Law as recommended by the Lower House.
The committee also endorsed the 2014 military housing fund draft law.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Sunday directed the Council of Ministers to adopt all recommendations of the Lower House’s Financial Committee on the 2015 state budget law, which was endorsed by the Upper House.
The Senate’s Legal Committee on Tuesday endorsed the 2014 draft independence of the judiciary law as referred by the Lower House.
The Senate Financial and Economic Committee on Wednesday endorsed the 2014 draft public-private partnership law as referred from the Lower House.
