AMMAN — The Senate on Thursday offered the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) a donation of JD40,000 intended to help Syrian families affected by the recent earthquake.
The donation was raised from the Senate of the “Social Responsibility Fund” which was established by Senate President Faisal Al Fayez at the beginning of 2017, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The donation reflects the Senate members' belief in the importance of providing assistance to disaster-affected families, Fayez said, noting that the Senate's donation comes from fixed monthly deductions from the allowances of Senate members to support the Social Responsibility Fund.
