AMMAN — The Senate is scheduled on Sunday to start a series of meetings chaired by Senate President Faisal Fayez to review the seven Royal Discussion Papers published by His Majesty King Abdullah.

Fayez said that consultative meetings with senators will be held over three weeks, adding that a Discussion Paper will be reviewed during each session, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.

He noted that the meetings are part of the Senate's role in developing the country and enhancing its democratic, parliamentary and political aspects. Fayez said that the sessions will also contribute to the comprehensive reform process led by His Majesty.

He noted that the Senate aims at reaching a clear vision on the content of the Discussion Papers and the work mechanisms to be used in the implementation of these papers.
