Sharia justice palace inaugurated in Aqaba

AMMAN — Chief Islamic Justice Abdul Karim Khasawneh on Thursday laid the cornerstone of Sharia justice palace building in Aqaba, 330km south of Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During a ceremony at the building’s site, Khasawneh said that Aqaba’s growing population needed a suitable Sharia (Islamic law) court corresponding to the demographic developments of the city.
