Social Development Ministry, Petra authority sign agreement

AMMAN — The Ministry of Social Development and the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) signed an agreement on Sunday under which the ministry will run and operate the Um Sayhoun local community development centre, situated at the rear entrance of Petra.
The Um Sayhoun Centre, which was established under a Royal makruma to support the underprivileged local community, offers several capacity-building courses to hone the skills of the area residents and help them join the labour market.
Social Development Minister Reem Abu Hassan and PDTRA Chief Commissioner Mohammad Nawafleh signed the agreement.
