AMMAN — The State Security Court (SSC) on Wednesday issued 13 rulings in cases related to promoting terrorist organisations’ ideologies, attempts to join them, and plotting to carry out terror acts.
The defendants were sentenced to two to 15 years prison terms with hard labour, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The court also decided to acquit 11 suspects, already serving imprisonment sentences on other charges at rehabilitation centres, of promoting ideologies of terrorist organisations.
Separately, the court decided to adjourn the trial of three defendants, including a woman, in the armed robbery case at the Duleil Post Office in February to next Wednesday. The suspects, who allegedly stole JD23,500 and $900, denied the charges.
