AMMAN — The Swiss embassy in Amman has relocated to its new premises in South Abdoun area, it announced on Tuesday.
A statement from the embassy said that to cope with an ever-increasing activity in Jordan as well as regionally, the embassy has in recent years been significantly increasing its staff, both expatriates and local.
“To accommodate its growing staff and activity in a more suitable and efficient environment, the embassy has relocated from its location near 4th Circle to larger premises in South Abdoun,” the ambassy said in the statement.
The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs has decided to relocate its staff spread over two locations in Amman into a new more modern facility out of its commitment “to maintain and even expand its activities in Jordan and beyond in the Middle East”, according to the statement.
The embassy has resumed its operations at its new location on Tuesday morning. The new address of the embassy of Switzerland is No. 4, Abdul Jabbar Al Rawi Street, South Abdoun.
