‘Switzerland, Jordan cooperating in construction sector’

AMMAN — As part of their ongoing cooperation since 2008, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Jordan Engineers Association have launched two manuals for construction supervision.
The two manuals will be “the first documented and comprehensive tools for supervision engineers”, the Swiss embassy said in a statement released on Tuesday. The first manual is a guide for supervision engineers to support their work in managing the quality of buildings throughout the construction process.
While the second one is a Rapid Structural Assessment tool, to introduce engineers to the latest rapid assessment tools which will help them in doing a proper assessment. Several workshops and training courses will follow the launch to guarantee the best use of these manuals.
