AMMAN — A high school teacher in Mafraq Governorate is still recovering at Mafraq Public Hospital after one of his students hit him late last week with a bludgeon, according to a Jordan Teachers Association (JTA) statement released Monday.
The teacher told the JTA he was distributing exam papers when the student refused to take the exam, so he made the student sign a paper stating that he refused to sit for the exam and sent him out of the classroom.
The next day, the teacher was ambushed and assaulted by the student.
The statement said the teacher has filed a complaint against the student.
