Tarawneh meets Dutch ambassador over human rights

AMMAN— Government Coordinator for Human Rights Basel Tarawneh on Thursday met with Dutch Ambassador to Jordan Barbara Joziasse, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and strengthen the human rights in Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported
Tarawneh reviewed the government’s plans to follow up on the implementation of the holistic national human rights plan for 2018-2019, in accordance with joint programmes with national, regional and international institutions. He pointed out that the government is providing the best level of services to the Syrian refugees, urging the international community to support Jordan.
For her part, Joziasse praised the efforts exerted by Jordan in upholding human rights, referring to the government’s periodic reports on human rights and its cooperation and coordination with various actors working in the field.
