Tax department rolls out new online service

AMMAN — The Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD) has enabled individual users and companies to register and be issued a tax number on its website, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.
Users who wish to use the service can visit www.istd.gov.jo and register by entering their national number, civil registration number, mobile number, e-mail and income sources. The ISTD also offers tax return and due tax payment services, among others, Petra reported.
