AMMAN — North Amman Criminal Investigation Department personnel have arrested three people for suspected involvement in an attempted robbery, the Public Security Department said Tuesday in a statement.
On August 1, two masked people threatened a shop owner in north Amman with a gun and a sharp tool, demanding that he give them the money in his possession, but he refused. The suspects hit him and ran away without stealing anything.
Investigators caught two suspects, who have a history of involvement in thefts and forming gangs, and they confessed to committing the attempted robbery with a third accomplice, who was also later arrested. The team confiscated the masks and gloves the suspects wore, as well as the vehicle they used, and the investigation is still under way.
