Trade Ministry, JEDCO hold awareness session on intellectual property rights at Yarmouk University

AMMAN — The Industrial Property Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), in cooperation with Yarmouk University, organised an awareness session remotely on industrial property rights for some professors working in the university in order to clarify the formal and objective conditions required by the Protection Industrial Property Law, according to a JEDCO statement.

Director of the International Relations and Projects Department at Yarmouk University Ghazi Magableh praised the minister’s response through the Industrial Property Protection Directorate to their request to know more about the industrial property rights. Director of the Industrial Property Protection Directorate Zain Al Awamleh said that this awareness session comes within a series of awareness-raising activities directed at the public and private sectors carried out by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply.

Awamleh added that they will discuss the ways of cooperation to sign a joint cooperation agreement between the ministry and Yarmouk University, to establish a technology and innovation support centre unit aiming at exchanging information related to patents, publications related to intellectual property, and assistance in searching for and retrieving technological information, among others.
