AMMAN — German Ambassador to Jordan Ralph Tarraf on Thursday welcomed two Amman-based schools into Germany’s Partner School Initiative (PASCH), according to an embassy statement.

The Ahliyyah and Bishop School as well Al Asriyya School will now become part of a global network of more than 1,500 schools that promote learning German as a foreign language.

The already existing partnership with Amman’s Jubilee School will also be renewed, the statement said.

Through the PASCH initiative, local schools receive special support from the German government, such as advanced methodological and didactic training for teachers of German, and youth courses and camps in Germany.
