UJ, JEA honour winners of graduation project competition

AMMAN — Six engineering graduation projects from the University of Jordan (UJ) were announced winners at the 2020 Jordan Engineers Association Graduation Competition.
The competition is organised annually by the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) with the aim to motivate university students in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mining engineering and chemical engineering “to unleash their creative ideas in their graduation projects”, according to a UJ statement.
The UJ project titled "Parametric Investigation of Nano-Fluids Utilisation in Parabolic Trough Collector" has won the first prize in the mechanical engineering category.
The project was conducted by Salam Al Abbadi, Youssef Al Far, Ahmed Assaf, and Abdulrahman Al Majdalawi, under the supervision of Ossama Ayyadi.
Other supervisors of the winning projects included Menwer Attarakih, Zayed Al Hamaydeh, Reyad Shawabkeh, Linda Al Hmoud, Walid Al Dweik, Fahed Jubair and Heba Saadeh.
UJ President Abdul Karim Al Qudah and JEA President Ahmad Sammarah Al Zoubi and Dean of the School of Engineering Ali Abu Ghanimeh handed the certificates to the winners during a ceremony held at the university.
