AMMAN — The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Sunday launched the "Asilah" bazaar in collaboration with the Greater Amman Municipality.

The bazaar features various products made by women from all governorates of Jordan, including handicrafts, textiles, wooden artifacts, mosaics and food products, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The initiative aims to support women entrepreneurs, especially those with small and green projects, and enhance their participation in the local economy, according to City Director Ahmed Malkawi.

The programme focuses on empowering women to contribute to sustainable and comprehensive growth and to promote change in their communities.

Randa Abu Al Hassan, UNDP representative, said that the bazaar reflects the importance of enhancing women's participation in entrepreneurship and supporting their small businesses to achieve success and sustainability.
