AMMAN — United Airlines’ direct flights to and from Amman are part of the transatlantic expansion, Patrick Coyle, United’s senior vice president of international networks and alliances, said on Wednesday.

In press remarks, Coyle said that Amman was the first destination, out of five, that has been added, stressing that the Kingdom's travel and tourism market enjoys various untapped and attractive potentials, noting that United is seeking to expand access to Jordan, and making Amman a destination for Americans, Canadians, and residents of Central and South America.

The Chicago-based carrier has started the first capital to capital service between Washington, D.C., and Amman, he said, adding that the airline will fly direct to Amman three times weekly, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
