AMMAN — Ten municipalities in the Zarqa, Amman and Irbid governorates have been selected to partner with the USAID Jordan Local Enterprise Support Project (LENS,) according to a USAID statement released Wednesday.
The project, which links the targeted districts with communities in the US, aims to promote economic growth in the chosen regions.
USAID LENS is a five-year project which works to support better economic planning and encourage small business growth in Jordan, the statement said.
Among its aims, the scheme will set out to promote public-private partnerships through a USAID LENS grant fund.
The 10 municipalities will also be part of a programme that links them with communities in the US for knowledge-sharing exchanges.
