AMMAN — Investment Minister Khairi Amr on Sunday urged Bahraini businesspeople to avail free trade agreements between Jordan and other countries, which offer preferential treatment to Jordan-made products, as well as to optimise the advantages and incentives offered to foreign investors.

Speaking during a virtual Jordanian-Bahraini Investment Forum and the fourth session of the Joint Jordanian-Bahraini Business Council, in cooperation with the Bahrain Businessmen’s Association, Amr highlighted the necessity of increasing the Jordanian-Bahraini joint investments, noting that the ministry is pushing towards intensifying joint investment meetings and economic delegations’ visits exchange. Highlighting the prominent role of Bahrain’s financial sector in Jordan, Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) President Hamdi Tabbaa highlighted that Bahrain, following Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, is one of the Gulf’s top investors in Amman Bourse with an investment volume of JD714.3 million, noted that Bahrain accounted for 4.1 per cent of 2021’s investments.
