Water Ministry inaugurates workshop to combat water loss

AMMAN — Deputising for Water Minister Mohammed Najjar, Secretary General of Water Authority of Jordan Bashar Bataineh inaugurated a workshop on lowering water loss.

During the event, organised by the Utilities Performance Monitoring Unit, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), Bataineh called for implementing practical and scientific programmes to intensify efforts and procedures to reduce water loss, according to a Water Ministry statement.

He also highlighted the importance of adopting unified concepts to measure water loss, especially given that Jordan is among the poorest countries in the world in water resources.
