IRBID — Jordan's National Red Crescent Society, in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society of the Unites Arab Emirates and the UAE embassy, distributed aid on Thursday to Syrian families in Irbid within Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak's initiative.
The assistance, distributed to 500 Syrian families, included heaters, blankets and food parcels.
Jordan's Red Crescent said the aid was given to families residing in the Sarih area, noting that assistance within the initiative has also been distributed in other governorates with large populations of Syrian refugees in coordination with the UNHCR.
Food coupons were also distributed on Thursday to over 1,000 Syrian families in Ramtha.
