AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali on Tuesday said that work is under way for a project aimed to simplify new business registration and licensing process, which will result in introducing a single-window system.
In a ministry statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Shamali stressed that the system will enhance the overall business-doing journey and will make it easier and faster to establish and license new enterprises.
Under the new system, new businesses that are eligible to go through a fast registration track will have their licences issued in one day, the minister said.
Other businesses may go through either a conditioned track or customs track, he added, noting that 383 activities are eligible to access the fast track according to the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities.
