Workshop assesses challenges, opportunities in housing sector

AMMAN — Public Works and Housing Minister Sami Halaseh on Sunday opened a workshop on assessing the housing sector, which the ministry held in cooperation with the World Bank and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organisation.

Halaseh added that Housing and Urban Development Corporation and World Bank experts have prepared a study to assess the sector, its role in the economy and other issues, according to a ministry statement.

The workshop addressed obstacles facing the sector and the measures necessary to improve its performance.
