House panel approves ratification of nuclear convention

AMMAN — The Lower House’s Legal Affairs Committee on Tuesday endorsed the 2014 draft law to ratify the International Convention on the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism as referred from the government with only one reservation concerning Article 23.
During the meeting, members of the panel criticised Jordan’s joining the convention on the grounds of its irrelevance since the Kingdom is not a nuclear country.
