100 Southern Ghor residents demand jobs at potash company

KARAK — Some 100 Southern Ghor residents organised a sit-in on Wednesday in front of the district authority’s building, demanding employment at the Arab Potash Company.
They argued that members of the local community are more qualified for employment as drivers and guards for the company.
Southern Ghor Mayor Abdullah Maaitah met with representatives of the protesters and agreed to make a list of demands and refer it to the company.
