Agriculture minister launches e-services for import, export

AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat on Sunday launched a number of e-services for import and export within the framework of the national plan for sustainable agriculture, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a press conference held at the ministry, Hneifat said that automating the ministry’s services comes in implementation of Royal directives.
A total of 63 services will be provided, he said, adding that the ministry’s personnel have undergone training in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Jordan Customs Department.
The launch of the digital services aims to simplify procedures to achieve a productive partnership with the private sector to enhance food security.
The first batch of services launched at the ceremony included imports, exports and re-exporting agricultural products.
Representatives from the Ministry of Digital Economy, Jordan Customs Department, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, professional unions and agricultural associations attended the event.
