Arab Contractors Union to host conference in May

AMMAN — The Arab Contractors Union, in cooperation with the Public Works Ministry and the Jordan Housing Developers Association will hold an Arab contractors, real estate and banking investment conference on May 1, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two-day conference will focus on funding for contractors and putting in place pan-Arab strategic plans. The union said that recent studies on the funding of the Arab real estate sector revealed that Arab banks use only 8.5-10.75 per cent of its capital to fund the sector, Petra reported, adding that foreign companies continue to have the bigger share of project tenders in the Arab world.
