Bani Yaseen discusses region, ties with South African official

AMMAN — Foreign Ministry Secretary General Mohammad Tayseer Bani Yaseen on Tuesday discussed with Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa Nomaindiya Mfeketo the latest developments in the region and bilateral ties, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They discussed the Palestinian issue with Bani Yaseen, highlighting Jordan’s stance pushing the two-state solution and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, within the pre-1967 lines.
For her part, the South African official commended Jordan for hosting Syrian refugees, noting that her country went through a similar experience when it hosted refugees from Africa who fled from war zones in neighbouring countries.
