AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved a bylaw for the Social Solidarity and Savings Fund for municipality employees for 2023.

The bylaw, endorsed during a session chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, aims at contributing to improving the living conditions of municipality employees through establishing the fund, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Cabinet also approved amendments to the administrative bylaw for the Prime Ministry for 2023 as a prerequisite for the executive programme for the Public Sector Modernisation’s roadmap.

The bylaw includes establishing a unit for administration and implementation of the programme, a digital transformation unit, an economic affairs unit and a unit for procurement policies and complaints.

The bylaw also abolished media units that were in the organisational structure of the Prime Ministry. The tasks of these units have moved to the newly introduced Ministry of Government Communications.
