CDD to train Palestinian peers on provision of relief services

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) General Director Lt. Gen. Talal Kofahi and Samuel J. Juett, the official in charge of a US training programme for Palestinian civil defence personnel, signed a joint cooperation agreement under which the Jordanian side will help enhance the abilities of the Palestinian CDD.

The deal is aimed at developing the Palestinian civil defence’s capacity to provide humanitarian services through enlisting its personnel in specialised training courses at different fields. Kofahi expressed the Jordanian CDD’s readiness to continue holding training programmes for Palestinian peers.

Juett praised the training plans and field efforts the Jordanian CDD implements to achieve its envisioned goals.
