CDD, US sign agreement to continue training of Palestinian civil defence

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) Director Maj. Gen.  Mustafa Bazaiah and Samuel J. Juett, security coordinator of US assistance to Palestinian National Authority, on Thursday signed an agreement to continue the training of Palestinian civil defence personnel for 2018.

The agreement, which includes 14 training courses and scientific programmes in the civil defence field, is held at the civil defence training city.

Bazaiah praised the role of the US government in supporting the training process of Palestinian civil defence personnel, stressing the Jordanian CDD's efforts in setting up specialised theoretical and practical training programmes.

The security coordinator commended the efforts of the Jordanian CDD in improving the competency of Palestinian civil defence personnel, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
