AMMAN — The Jordan Academy of Arabic in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation's “Dhad” initiative on Saturday launched the seventh edition of cultural competitions for 2022.

The competitions include several prizes in support of Arabic, notably the Best Translated Book Award, the Best Book Award, the Arabic Calligraphy Award, as well as the "My Language is my Identity" competition with two awards: The best feature article in Arabic and the best language initiative in the Kingdom.

The competition also includes a competition for children aged 7-12 and 13-18 years themed "I love my Arabic language". Those wishing to take part in the competitions are invited to visit the “Dhad” initiative's website at inarabic.cpf.jo, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The competitions seek to preserve the “status and elegance” of Arabic, in addition to developing methods that enrich the language’s online presence.
