Fayez, Tunisian ambassador discuss tourism cooperation

AMMAN — Tourism Minister Nayef Fayez on Thursday met with the Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Suhaili.

The meeting addressed preparations for the minister's upcoming work visit to Tunis, which will hold the second session of the joint Tunisian-Jordanian sectorial committee in the tourism and the technical committee tasked with traditional industry field, as well as approve the final version of the draft executive programme of the tourism cooperation agreement for 2021-2023, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, both sides stressed the need to follow up on the outcomes and recommendations of the recent meeting of the committees of tourism and handicrafts by prioritising cooperation areas, primarily in the hotel sector, tourism marketing, and in the exchange of expertise.
