House speaker meets with Libya’s foreign minister

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi met with Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla El Mangoush on Monday and discussed means to enhance cooperation in various fields in service of  the two countries and peoples.

Safadi stressed the Jordanian position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, to support the unity and stability of Libya, preserve its national interests and fulfil the aspirations of the Libyan people, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also reiterated that the Lower House is committed to coordinating with the Libyan Parliament. For her part, Mangoush reviewed efforts to boost stability and unify the national institutions in her country, expressing Libya's appreciation for Jordan's positions, under the leadership of His Majesty, in support of Libya and the political track, and for Jordan’s role in achieving security and stability in the region.
