AMMAN — Irbid Governor Radwan Otoum on Thursday met with Cypriot Ambassador Nafsika Krousti and reviewed the governorate’s conditions as a result of hosting some 400,000 Syrian refugees.

Otoum said that the Syrian refugee influx affected all sectors and services, including the municipal, health and educational sectors, noting as well its impacts on the labour market, water resources and the economic situation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Krousti highlighted the “deep-rooted” relations between Amman and Nicosia, referring to the Jordanian-Greek-Cypriot summit that was held earlier in the year. She also expressed her country’s keenness to boost relations with the Kingdom.
